What information does LOMA collect?
LOMA collects personally-identifiable information (such as your name and e-mail address) at certain points on our Site-for example, when you register with the LOMALearn database, purchase or take a course, fill out a survey, or complete other interactions or transactions through the site. The personally-identifiable information collected may consist of a unique access ID, company affiliation, title, and contact information, such as name, mailing address, e-mail address, and telephone and fax number, areas of interest, and any other personally-identifiable information you provide. LOMALearn also collects billing information, including credit card numbers and expiration dates, from visitors who purchase LOMALearn products and services on the Site.
LOMALearn logs visitors' IP addresses for the collection of aggregate information about site visitors and their interests. LOMALearn does not link these IP addresses to personal identifying information such as a visitor's name and/or e-mail address. For example, in tracking information about the visits to our Web site, we compile statistics that show the daily number of visitors to our site, the daily requests we receive for particular files on our Web site, and what countries those requests come from. These aggregated statistics are used internally to better provide services to our customers and may also be provided to others (such as banner advertisers)-but again, the statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.
How is the information used?
LOMA uses your personally-identifiable information to fulfill your requests for information and to process your requests to register and take online courses. LOMA may also use personally-identifiable information to perform statistical analyses of user behavior in order to measure interest in specific areas and courses available through our Site. The e-mail addresses provided at registration allow LOMA to send e-mail to individuals based on the areas of interest that they indicate during the registration process.
LOMA may use your information in the aggregate for marketing and promotional purposes. We may also use your information to improve the content of our Site, to notify you about updates to the Site, and to contact you for marketing purposes. LOMA never shares personally-identifiable information with anyone not in a business relationship with our organization. Out of respect for the privacy of our users, if we send you an e-mail we provide the option to not receive these types of communications ("opt-out").
LOMA may occasionally inform users about special offers, new courses or other products, and other third-party product and service offers that we believe they will find useful or interesting. LOMALearn registered users and newsletter subscribers are given the option to choose whether they would like to receive such mailings.
In order to purchase or access the courses and tests available through the LOMALearn Web site, a user must complete a registration form. During registration, a user is required to give their contact information (such as name and e-mail address) and specific demographic information needed by LOMALearn so that it can better meet customers' needs. This information is used to contact the user about the services on our site for which they have expressed interest and to ensure that only authorized users of LOMALearn have access to the secure parts of the site. For example, we may send all new registered users a welcoming e-mail to verify password and user name. Established users may also receive information on products, services, special offers, and a newsletter.
